TECHNICAL HELPRECOMMENDED RESOLUTION, BROWSERS and SPEEDThis site is compatible with computers having a 800x600 screen resolution, though the site is also viewable on a 1024x768 screen resolution. We made this decision largely because many of the computers in the South East Asian region still run on 800x600 screen resolution computers. This site is developed for cross platform browser viewing. Hence it can be adequately viewed in at least Firefox 2.0, Internet Explorer 5.5, Netscape 6, Opera 7 and Safari 1.0 (Mac). We recommend an internet connection speed of at least 56kbps or above. For those of us who sometimes struggle with less, we suggest that you turn off images through your browser or find relevant links via the site-map. If you are having any problems browsing this site, please email webmaster@saiacs.org NAVIGATING THIS SITETo navigate the site, just follow any link that you want in whatever order. However, to return to the homepage, either click Home on the left bar, or click on the SAIACS logo found on the top left corner of the page. Often a page will have sub-links which you will find to the right of the page. Sometimes these sub-links help navigate within a long page. When you are on a long page, you can click top of page to get you back on top of the page you are reading. To save time, you may want to visit the site-map. This page is useful for those who want to access most of the site's links from one source. The site-map is laid out hierarchically to help associated pages with relevant themes. Searching the siteAt present, while we do not have an internal search engine, this site has been designed to be easily searched by Google. All the pages on this site, and most of the pdfs, can be googled. For SAIACS specific searches, just add your keyword on google along with SAIACS. Viewing pdf filesMany of the downloads SAIACS offers are in pdf format. Most files have basic security encryption for which you need to have at least Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 installed. If you have an earlier Acrobat Reader installed, then some pdfs may not read accurately. You can download the latest pdf reader from the Adobe site.
