FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
At SAIACS we believe that education takes a lifetime. Therefore, we continually look for opportunities not only to enrich our departments through recruitment, but also to develop our faculty through further training.
SAIACS identifies candidates within SAIACS or elsewhere to develop through the SAIACS academic programme. Currently we SAIACS student who is part of the faculty-in-training programme as well as faculty who are on study leave.
Resident faculty are encouraged to undertake post-doctoral studies and attend training and seminars. For further academic development, all resident faculty are entitled to a sabbatical year after seven years of service and are encouraged to write or pursue studies for that year.
