OUR ADJUNCT AND VISITING FACULTY

Dr. Andrew Spurgeon teaches an NT class

In addition to the residential faculty, the monthly modular system of courses offered by SAIACS has enabled us to bring to our students some of the best evangelical scholars from the West and from Asia. We are grateful to a growing number of eminent scholars from all over the world who are willing to give SAIACS their time and abilities for the cause of the Church in South Asia.

Dr. Graham Simpson Dr. Graham Simpson
PhD in Classical Greek from University of Sydney, Australia (2001)

Graham Simpson has had extensive teaching and pastoral experience in Australia and South Asia. After 9 years teaching at the Union Biblical Seminary (Pune), he served as minister in charge of an Anglican church in Sydney for 12 years. More recently he has spent 5 years in Nepal in a teaching and writing ministry. He has 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Publications

Dr. Graham HoughtonDR. GRAHAM HOUGHTON

Distinguished Professor of History of Christianity
PhD in Mission and Church History, University of California, Los Angeles, USA (1981)

The son of a farming family in New Zealand, Rev. Dr. Houghton studied in the NZ Bible Training Institute (now the Bible College of New Zealand). Called to the mission field, he came to India in 1965. He was with the Madras Biblical Seminary and College for 17 years as teacher then Principal. He is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church of India. Along with his wife, Carol Ann, he founded SAIACS in 1981. Even though Dr. Houghton is retired as a Principal, he continues to provide leadership to SAIACS and also teaching courses in Church History, Missions, and Leadership. Houghtons have one daughter, Dilkusha.

Dr. Beulah WoodDR. BEULAH WOOD
BD, DMin, Gordon-Conwell Seminary, USA. (2002)

A high school teacher by training, Beulah Wood and her husband taught at Ootacamund and then in Nepal. Following early widowhood, Dr. Wood gained experience in New Zealand in writing and editing and has published 30+ books. At SAIACS she lectures in homiletics and spiritual formation and has served on the SAIACS Press editorial team. Publications
