The plaque which greets each visitor. On the reverse are the
words ‘God’s work, done in God’s way will never
lack supply: Hudson Taylor’.
The ‘Commons’ houses the dining hall, Kitchen,
book-shop, movie room, student lounge and guest house viewed through
the Gulmohar, Cassia and Blue Jacaranda trees in full bloom.
A close-up of the commons shows the “jali”- a perforated
screen which utilizes natural air movement to cool the interior
and create intricate patterns of light and shadow.This is a common
architectural occurrence in SAIACS. The decorative structures are
cut from locally quarried granite which occurs in abundance.
