A view into the college from the main road.

The plaque which greets each visitor. On the reverse are the words ‘God’s work, done in God’s way will never lack supply: Hudson Taylor’.

The ‘Commons’ houses the dining hall, Kitchen, book-shop, movie room, student lounge and guest house viewed through the Gulmohar, Cassia and Blue Jacaranda trees in full bloom.

The building is framed against the fragrant ‘frangipani’ in bloom. In the foreground is an old granite stone. In the early days, vendors carrying their produce on their head could unload their ‘head-loads’ here. Plaque at the “Commons” entrance.

A close-up of the commons shows the “jali”- a perforated screen which utilizes natural air movement to cool the interior and create intricate patterns of light and shadow. This is a common architectural occurrence in SAIACS. The decorative structures are cut from locally quarried granite which occurs in abundance.

The inspiration for the cross resting on the globe atop our chapel is drawn from the Evangelical Church in Switzerland. Plaque at the Chapel entrance
