CAMPUS LIFE: Spiritual Emphasis
SAIACS gives priority to the spiritual nurture and development of the whole campus community. We have mandatory morning chapel at the beginning of each working day Monday to Thursday during term, led by members of the faculty and student body.
Students attend classes in Spiritual Formation during
their first months at SAIACS. During this time students
have the opportunity to enlarge their prayer life and habits,
and examine their accountability
to God and to others. They also form prayer partners or
prayer triplets to encourage 
each other in their spiritual
growth. The course includes
spiritual exercises and a silent retreat near the campus.
On Sundays, we encourage SAIACS students to contribute to the ministry of local churches in Bangalore for worship and ministry. In addition, few students and faculty hold a church service on campus. Once a year a weekday is set aside as a Day of Prayer when the community takes part in guided prayer and intercession.
Besides all these, the service staff meet for prayer once a week, while the faculty and staff meet on Friday morning to pray for special concerns. Students often choose that day to meet to pray for world mission.
