SAIACS ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

The application process for all degrees for 2012-2013 has started. The closing date for completed application without late fee is November 15, 2011. The closing date with late fee of Rs. 300/- is December 5, 2011. SAIACS Admissions

Applying for admission to SAIACS:

1. Applicant should be familiar with the 2012-13 edition of the SAIACS Prospectus that gives detailed information about admission, registration, degree programmes. Most of the information is also available at www.saiacs.org

2. Closing date for completed application forms, along with Rs.300/- application processing fee, to reach SAIACS is November 15, 2011. Those students who download the application form need to pay Rs 300/- towards the prospectus.

3. Closing date for completed applications with application processing fee of Rs. 300/- plus late fee of Rs. 300/- (total Rs.600) to reach SAIACS is December 5, 2011.

4. SAIACS requires, entrance examinations and a personal interview with all applicants before deciding on admission. The interview will be held at SAIACS campus in Bangalore and in a North India centre in the first or second week of February 2012. The exact dates and location will be intimated to the applicant if called for entrance exams and interview.

5. The entrance and qualifying exam conducted by SAIACS in the North India centre is for the applicants from North and NorthEast India. A nominal fee will be collected for accomodation, food etc.

6. One-way travel (actual fare but in any case not exceeding Rs.1000/-) may be reimbursed by SAIACS only to those applicants who travel more than 1000 kms each way and need help. Applicants will not be charged for accommodation and food for the admission days.

7. The Admissions Committee will not consider calling an applicant for entrance exams and interview until all the required documents mentioned in section B & C below have been received at the Admissions Office on or before the specified date.

8. An invitation to an interview is not a guarantee of admission. The decision of the SAIACS Admissions Committee to offer admission will be intimated in early March 2012.

9. To fill the application, either type or write with Capital letters. Please keep a set of photocopy of your application and all documents sent to SAIACS.

10. Send the application forms and all supporting documents by Registered/Speed Post or DTDC Courier to the Registrar.
