WOMEN'S PROGRAMMES
CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN STUDIES (Cert. C.S.)
PURPOSE
This programme of part-time study in Bible knowledge and ministry skills is designed for both student wives and those in and around Bangalore who are unable to attend a regular course but desire to prepare them for effective ministry. It provides a forum to have a personal, holistic and spiritual enrichment. It also endeavours to provide an opportunity to gain foundational theological knowledge through formal classroom learning.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
SAIACS encourages every spouse on campus to participate
in at least one of its programmes. However, due to family constraints,
those with children of ages three and below are exempted from attending
any of its courses.
For those who have children over three years of age, you may admit them
in good play homes in and around SAIACS, where transportation is provided.
Participants must be able to read, write and understand English.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
The course requires a successful completion of six courses (12 credits). The courses are drawn from the following:

" Contemporary Issues in Mission
" Biblical Counselling
" Old Testament Survey
" New Testament Survey
" Biblical Interpretation (Hermeneutics)
" Homiletics
" Christian Home
" Mission and Evangelism
" Indian Church History
" Fundamentals of Christian Faith
" Christian Education (Sunday School, Youth Ministry)
" Women in Ministry
CLASSROOM DURATION
Classes are for a minimum of 3 days in a week for a maximum of three hours each day. Other days are set aside for assignments.
COURSE FEE
Each certificate course is available at a very nominal fee.
