South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS) is an institute for postgraduate theological studies and research in Bangalore, India. We strive for biblical and contextually relevant theological studies so that students can make a meaningful and significant impact in their diverse ministries—including, Churches, Mission Fields, NGOs and Christian organisations, Bible Colleges and Seminaries—for the glory of God.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

SAIACS degrees are recognized by the Asia Theological Association (ATA) and the University of Mysore (UoM). We offer MA, MDiv, MTh/MPhil, DMin, DMiss and PhD degree programs. Our degrees are offered within six major specialisations: Old Testamet, New Testament, Theology & Ethics, Missiology, Pastoral Theology & Counselling and Study of Religions.

CENTRE FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES (CIS)

A one-of-a-kind initiative by SAIACS for India, the Centre for Islamic studies is aimed at the development of resources, research and scholars for understanding and reaching out to the Muslim communities in South Asia. click here

CENTRE FOR SOUTH ASIA RESEARCH (CSAR)

The Centre for South Asia Research (CSAR) is a recently begun initiative to invite post-doctoral students from the majority world to use SAIACS facilities for further research and to help produce publishable material that is useful for the church and academy in South Asia. click here

NORTH INDIA RESEARCH PROJECT (NIRP)

The North India Research Project (NIRP) is an attempt by SAIACS to explore and understand the Christward Movements in North India, and encourage research that will rightly inform Christians about mission in the region. click here
